Compliance & Security

We view regulatory compliance not as a hurdle, but as the foundation of our business. Your brand reputation is protected by our unyielding commitment to Irish and EU legal standards.

1. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

As an agency operating within the Republic of Ireland, CrediX strictly adheres to the guidelines set forth by the Data Protection Commission (DPC) and the EU GDPR framework.

  • Data Minimization: We only process the exact information necessary to facilitate the recovery of outstanding accounts.
  • Secure Transfer: All client ledgers and master data files are transferred via encrypted, secure portals. We do not accept sensitive financial data over unsecured email.
  • Data Retention: Debtor data is retained only for the legally required period necessary to resolve the account, after which it is securely permanently wiped from our systems.

2. Fair Collection Practices & Consumer Protection

While recovering commercial and consumer debt, we align our operational procedures with the spirit of the Central Bank of Ireland’s Consumer Protection Code. Our approach guarantees that all debtors are treated with dignity, fairness, and absolute professionalism.

  • Transparent Communication: We clearly identify who we are, who we represent, and the exact nature of the outstanding balance in all communications.
  • No Harassment Policy: We utilize modern, omni-channel contact strategies that respect reasonable hours of communication. We strictly forbid aggressive, misleading, or coercive tactics.
  • Dispute Resolution: If an account is genuinely disputed, we pause collection activities immediately to conduct a fair and thorough master data review alongside our client.

"Our primary objective is to recover your funds while preserving the commercial and consumer relationships you worked hard to build. Respect is our most effective recovery tool."

3. Vulnerable Customer Policy

We recognize that financial difficulty can often be tied to vulnerability, including mental health challenges, severe illness, or sudden loss of income. Our collections team is trained to identify signs of vulnerability.

When vulnerability is identified, our standard automated workflows are suspended. The account is moved to manual handling, allowing us to exercise forbearance, offer highly flexible payment arrangements, or refer the individual to free debt advisory services.

4. Information and Support for Debtors

If you have been contacted by CrediX and are experiencing severe financial hardship, you do not have to face it alone. We strongly encourage you to reach out to us so we can arrange a sustainable payment plan.

Additionally, free, independent, and confidential advice is available in Ireland through the Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS).

5. IT Security Standards

Your data is housed entirely within secure servers located inside the European Economic Area (EEA). We employ robust firewalls, multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all staff, and regular penetration testing to ensure our infrastructure is impervious to unauthorized access.
